With the new year, it is time to relfect on all that happened since my last entry. It seems forever ago because so much has changed.

One of the best things about being Anabaptist is the right to disagree. Our doctrinal statements are few and short. Everything else is open for gentle, loving, repectful debate. The hardest thing for me to bear when I made my last entry was a pastor who would not respect any view but his own. My spirit was grieved and burdened with not being allowed to follow my convictions. Shortly after my declaration that I would defend myself and my position, the LORD removed our brother to another field.

Our new pastor has a view that is much closer to my own, but more importantly observes the rule of not preaching on topics that are not core doctrine. It really truly is through respect for each other that we can grow as a community and be healthy enough to welcome new members in love.

I will continue writing with my stated purpose, but now I feel no pressure. My writing will not be reflecting the trapped feeling that I used to have that is now gone. I have decided to include a new link here to a site that closely follows my views on the tribulation and rapture. In true Anabaptist fashion I of course do not agree completely, but therein is the joy of life!
